The Glass 8 Inc Story

Our history is linked to Allan’s Glass & Aluminum Products Ltd., which was incorporated in 1983, and had worked exclusively in the supply, manufacturing, and installation of aluminum curtain wall systems.

The management team has over 45 years combined experience in the commercial glazing market, including 15 years working directly in the management of Allan’s Glass & Aluminum Products Ltd.

Glass 8 Inc. is an authorized fabricator and installer of all products manufactured by Kawneer Company Canada, Alumicor Limited, and Apex Façade Systems.

Joining Allan’s Glass Aluminum Products Ltd. (a commercial glazing subcontractor in Winnipeg) in 2001, Dean was integral to the steady progression that has resulted in Allan’s Glass developing into one of Western Canada’s leading and most progressive aluminum curtain wall companies. Growing year over year, Allan’s Glass & Aluminum Products Ltd. was purchased by All Weather Windows in May 2011.

Dean continued to manage Allan’s Glass for All Weather Windows until April 2014, when he accepted the role of Director – Commercial, with oversight of All Weather’s commercial division.

In his role as Director, Dean led the commercial teams in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg; profitably grew the division, developed and implemented organizational strategies which strengthened the division’s position in every market, and formed strategic partnerships with key suppliers which provided additional value to clients.

Believing in a different course of business for the success of commercial glazing subcontracting in Western Canada, and finding that he is inherently much more ‘entrepreneurial’ than ‘corporate’, Dean founded Glass 8 Inc. in November 2015.

Glass 8 Inc. operates as a Glass & Glazing Contractor in Western Canada, stretching from Northwestern Ontario to British Columbia, and from the Canada / US border to Nunavut.
